The Goal of Children's Ministries is to facilitate the Love of Jesus to children through Sunday School classes, worship services, club ministries and outreach events. It is our desire that children at a very young age, would come to know Jesus personally in their lives.

SUNDAY MORNING MINISTRIES

McBIC Preschool

Little Stuf…As they provide quality care in a loving, nurturing environment, nursery workers help infants and toddlers develop a healthy image of God and the church. The nursery is also a vital ministry to parents who are encouraged to enjoy Adult Fellowship Groups and Worship.

Elementary(Grades K-5)

UpStreet is our new ministry that happens at 9 AM on Sundays. This ministry is all about Small Groups. Jim & Rosanna Hess have done an outstanding job of calling people to form a team of dedicated Small Group leaders and workers who are committed to investing in the lives of our Elementary School Children. We want every elementary age child to experience the joy of having an adult (besides a family member) invest in their life. Our desire is for these relationships to grow to a point where each child will feel comfortable talking to their small group leader about any life struggles or difficulties they may be experiencing.

KidStuf happens at 10:30 AM each Sunday. Visitors, parents and children are learning that KidStuf is the most fun you can have on a Sunday morning. KidStuf uses comedy, sketches, zany situations, great music, and Biblical truths to creatively teach the lesson and KidStuf is full of laughs, fun, and great moments. But it isn't really for the kids (but don't tell them that). It's really for the parents, because it helps them connect to what their children have just learned in UpStreet.

DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRIES

JC CREW
This is a crew made up of 5th & 6th grade students who help run Junior Church. They are the puppeteers; they run the sound and computer equipment; they are involved in dramas; etc... These are students who go through an application process and are being trained in various aspect of ministry and service.

BALLOON MINISTRY
This team of student and adults are learning how to share the love of Jesus by twisting long, skinny balloons into amazing creations. Balloon classes are offered throughout the year.

SUMMER MINISTRIES


PRESCHOOL VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

An exciting week of Vacation Bible School for children who have completed K-5th grade. Bible lessons, worship, crafts, and recration are enjoyed by these preschoolers.

SUMMER FUN DAYS

A day camp for Kindergarten graduates through 5th graders which runs 4 full days. The ministry emphasizes prayer and worship, Bible teaching, recreation, arts and crafts. PRESCHOOL The Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church Preschool places its focus on Christ-Centered children development, for ages 3 - 5. Classes are held Monday and Wednesday, 9:00-11:30 am OR 12:30-3:00 pm, and Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00-11:30 am. Bible stories, arts and crafts, readiness skills, and developmentally appropriate activities are shared with the children in a nurturing environment.
